My passion for fitness started after my second child was born, I had a lot of unwanted weight and my mental health wasn’t the best, so I decided it was time to make a change. ![]() With a year to train but working the same 6 day week he turned his life and his health around and completed the race.Īt 34 Mark made the decision to leave his comfortable job and move to Australia and now lives his life dedicated to helping others find ways to challenge their body and mind and find their level of human optimisation for physical and mental health and longevity. ![]() On his return to the UK he took a “temporary” job that led to 10 year career in sales and sales management which although he enjoyed and made a good living from 6 days a week working up to 12 hour days took its toll on his body and mind.Īfter a life changing event and in probably the worst shape of his life he made a decision to change and signed up to a 50 Mile ultra marathon through the UK’s Lake District. ![]() Born and raised in a seaside suburb near Liverpool in the UK Mark grew up competing in a variety of sports and athletics from Football, Tennis and Rugby to distance running mostly trail rather than track competing regionally and nationally as a teen.Īs he got older he left team sports but the love of the outdoors led him to move to Canada to become a Snowboard instructor although his first season was cut short by injury.
